About Dabanga
Dabanga is a self-taught, multi-media, jewelry artist who designs with various metals, but primarily in copper.
Before turning to jewelry design, Dabanga worked professionally as a microbiologist at the Faculty of Medicine of the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique, Africa. While there, she stopped smoking cold turkey and, in her own words, she "had to keep my hands busy and a friend who makes beaded jewelry inspired me. Wow! my creative juices exploded. Since then I have been on a quest of discovery in the area of designs and mediums".
This Mozambican designers work is a twist on the fusion of world cultures – EthnoChic!
Donations of my jewelry have been a source of many fundraising efforts, especially Autism, since I have a child with Autism close to my heart. Dabanga Handcrafted jewelry is a work in progress contantly upgrading Enjoy what you see and come back often to my site as there is always new eye candy!
